Art Deco

The Art Deco interior design comes from the 1920s and 1930s, making use of the angular and balanced geometric shapes, such as the classic skyline imagery of the 1930s Chrysler building and the Empire State building.
Art Deco designs are thought to be a distinct form of modern decoration with slight eclectic influences, adding hi-tech images, such as radios and skyscrapers.
Some of the main materials that are used in these pieces of art are:
  • Aluminum
  • Inlaid wood
  • Lacquer
  • Shagreen
  • Stainless steel
  • Zebra skin
